Clinical audit is defined as a quality improvement process that seeks to improve patient care and outcomes through systematic review of care against explicit criteria and the implementation of change.

It helps an institution to identify areas which need more improvements and to assess whether changes made have resulted in visible improvements of the system and allows a pathway to obtain, analyze and interpret performance data while comparing those with baseline data.

DHQS conducts clinical audit workshops with the objective of improve the knowledge of healthcare professionals and to increase the number of clinical audits carried out in healthcare institutions.
